This little green oasis is located next to the Royal Fine Arts Museums and forms a perfect combination of nature and arts. It is such a peaceful and quiet place yet it's so close to many touristic sites and the central station. This really is a hidden gem not many people know about. The sculptures you find in Jardin des Sculptures all have one central theme: woman. Although the park is not really that big, you can find a lot of remarkable trees here like linden trees, locust trees, maples, plane trees... I feel like the combination of green, water, arts, and benches to sit on really optimizes the space and uses it to the max to create this green oasis with beautiful views.
To me, Jardin des Sculptures really feels like a calm place in a sometimes overcrowded city. I like to go there on a sunny day. Because of how the park and the benches are oriented, you will definitely have a spot in the sun until the end of the day. And with not many people coming here, it is the perfect place to sunbathe and chill a little on a sunny day. Other than that, le Jardin des Sculptures also makes for a perfect break after visiting one of the many museums nearby. Have a picnic or a drink here and continue your Brussels excursion.
Note: because the garden is located next to the museum, it also closes when the museum does (at 17:00).
