Everyone who's visited Sicily recently knows it's all about food. For everyone else, let me explain what you will experience in a Sicilian Pasticceria.
When you first enter, you will be overwhelmed by the variety of small pastries they offer: Cannoli filled with Ricotta, Babà Napolitana, Sfolgiatelle and much, much more. It's a food heaven for all sweet tooths (and also a tough decision to select among all this).
But for me, there is another reason to visit this place on a regular basis: the ARANCINI - fried rice balls with different fillings. My favorites are filled with spinach or eggplant. They prepare them right away for you and even my Italian boyfriend, who is very critical when it comes to Italian food, approved of them!
A visit to I Siciliani is like being back in Italy: listening to Italian conversations, enjoying an espresso with pasticcini while reading the newspaper. It's an authentic place with great food and very friendly service. Furthermore, the prices are almost like in Italy. So you will get a lot of food for little money.
If you need some holiday feeling, I Siciliani is the place to be.
