Spotter since 2017
About me
Born in the south of Germany, on Lake Constance, close to Switzerland and Austria, I started traveling as a little boy. Before college (social pedagogy), I traveled to Eastern Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Today I work as a TV producer in Cologne, having lived here for 16 years. I am still traveling, but I also go on ‘safaris’ in my home town: I book guided tours or visit new sites, read about their history and so on. No friend visits me in Cologne without seeing a new interesting spot...
Why Cologne
“Cologne is a village and everyone is a member of the family...”
That’s what people here love to say and they have a big heart and a sense of enjoying life. And I do feel like a part of it...
"Ecco" in Cologne is a vegan restaurant that also caters to people with special eating needs. I come here with my father who loves the vegan schnitzel!

Blackfoot Beach Cologne is a public pool for the whole family! It's not just swimming I enjoy doing here - there's stand-up paddling, archery, diving...

Brauhaus Johann Schäfer blends tradition with innovation. They have a reimagined brewery cuisine, regional flavors, homemade beer & attention to details.
by
"Rheinfähre Strolch" is a little ferry that crosses the Rhine in Cologne. I love doing it when I don't want to go to a bridge - I find it so entertaining!
by
"Aachener Weiher" in Cologne is charmingly tattered - the atmosphere next to the pond is magical. I recommend taking beer and food there yourself & enjoy!
by
"The Richter-Fenster" is a 106 square meter stained glass window in the Cologne Cathedral, the Dom. I keep coming here even if I've seen it so many times.
by
"KölnTriangle" provides what in my opinion is the best view of Cologne, at least in my opinion. You can see the Dome and so much more!
by
"Bei Oma Kleinmann" is one of my favourite restaurants in Cologne. I make sure to go there when I am really hungry, because their Schnitzels are just huge.
