In Swedish, a café is a coffee house and you probably know we love having coffee and a cinnamon bun or cake. At least once a day, some do it twice. Café Eurobar is a small restaurant run by a group of ladies who both cook and serve the food, and the menu changes almost every week. The cuisine is a mix of Russian, Baltic, Polish and Czech. I would say this is one of just two Russian restaurants in the capital of Sweden.
The ladies working here are so nice, and you can really tell this is a home-cooked meal that they will serve you. For me it is almost like going to my grandma's and having a nice meal. The filled pancakes are so yummy, especially the one with salmon. I also like the Beef Stroganoff and the Cabbage casserole. So many flavours. I can also recommend the pelmeni dish, a very traditional dish with home made dumplings. Weather permitting, there is a small patio outside of the restaurant next to a busy street and buzzing street life. It's just fun to sit and do some people watching. I normally visit this place during the weekend and have a bite and a beer. The dish I always order is the Salad Olivier.
