Recently, the area called Pazari i Ri (New Bazaar) was renovated. It went from a simple fruits and vegetables market to a beautiful space that has so much to offer.
At the entrance, there is a cheap place to eat and I must say the food is pretty good for the price, offering mostly meat products. Along the streets, there are many coffee shops, meat vendors and a big space dedicated to selling fruits and vegetables, covered in elegant black glass, which means that the market is still open on rainy days. This space is called Markata e Gjelber (The Green market), with a roof shape representing a modern imitation of the rooftops of old Tirana houses. There are also other places to eat too; the biggest one offers only seafood but it is really good quality at reasonable prices. It is called Markata e Peshkut (The fish market) and it can be found easily as it is written in big letters right in front of the restaurant.
As you move on, what catches the attention is the colorful pattern of the walls in the surrounding buildings; the place look especially beautiful on sunny days with all the colors and lively shops. Pazari i Ri is almost always full of people.
Pazari i Ri covers a small but important area designed for different activities besides selling, including events and fairs.
