To be honest I do not know why the district is not spotted enough. It could be because you need a 15-minute ride to get there form the center. Well, in a large city like Warsaw, 15 minutes is nothing. We have a saying here: "if getting to your job doesn't take 1 hour, then it is a good job".
In the last 10 years, street art has been flourishing all around the city, and one of the trends is to put up graffitis that remind us that the world had great personality in the remote/recent past.
This is the case in Żoliborz: thanks to a crowd-funding project this graffiti was created in memory of David Bowie, glam rock icon and a legendary figure in world music. The graffiti has been standing since January 2016. There were around 20 projects, but the one in the picture was the winner of the contest.
The area is underrated: there are several cafes worth mentioning and the district, especially during spring and summer, is perfect for a bike ride or for a nice walk in the recreated surroundings.
